Bankwell For Good Pet Adoption Project
Our Best Savings Plan Ever!
We are excited to announce the launch of the Bankwell Pet Adoption Project!
Our goal is to create awareness about the many dogs and cats in need of homes at animal shelters throughout Fairfield and New Haven counties.
All Bankwell branches will feature photographs and information about available dogs and cats that are looking for forever homes. The branches will also serve as collection points for a “wish list” to benefit the CT Humane Society.
CT Humane Society Wish List:
- Dog, cat and small animal toys
- New or gently used towels, blankets, bedding (must be machine washable)
- 2 gallon zip-lock bags
- New litter boxes
- Paper towels
- Adult dog & cat food, canned or dry
- Dog & Cat treats
Pet Pantry has generously offered to provide a complimentary gift basket for the home of any pet adopted during the program and also serve as a collection point for the CT Humane Society “wish list”.
Canine Training & Behavioral Services in Wilton will offer a free 30-minute consultation for anyone who adopts a dog during the Bankwell Pet Adoption Project.
Portraits of the featured animals were taken by local photographer Michael Bagley.
Bank for Good
For every new Bankwell Personal Checking Account with direct deposit that’s opened before May 31st, we will donate $100 to the Connecticut Humane Society.*
Use Your Change to Change A Life
The community is invited to use Bankwell’s self service coin counting machines for free during the months of March, April and May 2017 as part of Bankwell’s Pet Adoption Project. If you wish to donate your change to the Connecticut Humane Society, let a Personal Banker know, and we’ll match your donation up to a total program donation of $2,500.**
We would like to thank the many organizations who we have partnered with on this project: Animal Haven, ROAR, STARelief and Pet Assistance, Stamford Animal Shelter, Red Leash Rescue, Strays & Others, Shaggy Dog Rescue, One More Dog Rescue, and CT Humane Society for this project.
*Customer must set up direct deposit with their new Bankwell Personal Checking account. Once two direct deposits have been made to the account, Bankwell will donate $100 directly to the Connecticut Humane Society within 60 days.
**Individuals donating their change to the Connecticut Humane Society will receive a receipt for tax purposes. Self-service coin machines are available during regular banking hours at all Bankwell branches except the Bankwell in North Haven Branch and Cherry Street branch in New Canaan.
